Flat Difficulty Adjustment Projected
We are roughly 35% of the way through the current difficulty epoch and the projected adjustment is near zero (-0.09%).
The growth rate of hash/difficulty is ~3% month over month (90D moving average).
Heat-induced curtailments are likely playing a role as to why we have not seen persistent growth in hashrate throughout the summer. Moreover, hashrate growth should continue to remain relatively slow throughout the remainder of this halving epoch as ASICs have been commoditized, and much of the investment made during the bull market has already been plugged in.
If you are a frequent reader of Blockware content, you will recall that we anticipated a slowdown in hashrate growth in our 2023 Market Forecast, published in Q4 of last year.

This is an interesting case study of marketplace dynamics: high-value deals are purchased very quickly. It’s a good idea to check the marketplace frequently so you can be the one that snags the best-priced ASICs.
